Socapalm (Société Camerounaise de Palmeraies) is a Cameroonian limited company with Board of Directors, and capital of 45,757,890,000 , whose Head Office is in Tillo, Nkongsamba road and the Executive Management in Douala, “Rue de la Motte Piquet Bonanjo” , BP 691 Douala , Telephone (237 ) 333 43 87 28-333 43 77 83. Fax 333 43 87 34. The share capital of the company is repartitioned as follows : 65.38 % by Socfinal, the State of Cameroon 22.36 % and shares listed on the Stock Exchange are approximately 12.26 %.
Like any good corporate citizen, Socapalm aspires to adapt to the highest standards of good governance. The Board of Directors (BOD) is chaired by Mr. Michel NOULOUWE, and consists of nine members, including four legal entities.
The BOD's mission is to set the broad objectives of Socapalm. The BOD is also attentive to the interests of shareholders and its work is based on their recommendations.
Socapalm is headed by a General Manager who was mandated by the Board of Directors, and represents the Board. He chairs the steering committee of directors of plantations and the staff of the Directorate General. This committee meets regularly.
The Board of Directors recently formalized the appointment of Dominique CORNET as new General Manager, replacing Yanick Vernet who left the Company.
Dominique Cornet took office on June 22nd, 2016. His extensive experience of Socapalm, combined with his international profile and his perfect knowledge of the Cameroonian market, and also his ability to unite teams will breathe new dynamism into the company.
